How to Become a Part-Time Student at Maitripa
Download and print a Part-Time Entry form (pdf format), and submit it to Maitripa Institute’s administrative office in person or by mail.
Restrictions Applicable to Part-Time Students
Some courses that require formal admission to Maitripa Institute may not be available to part-time students. Scholarship assistance is also not available to part time students. Priority in classes is given to full-time program students; therefore part-time students may be waitlisted for classes with full registration. Part- time students do not receive student id’s and therefore may be ineligible for some discounts.
Up to 24 credits of part-time accumulated work may be applied to a student’s transcript should the student wish to become formally admitted to the Advanced Buddhist Studies Program/Degree Program at Maitripa within five years of accumulating the credits.
Part-time students are subject to the same rules as formally admitted students with regard to academic standards and all other points (add, drop, tuition refunds, grade change option, etc.).
